Mr Germ

Morning breakfast trip with Rochelle to the only Hotel (restaurant) in town that isn't a bakery or a stall and got a usual parcel of Masala Vada and 2 Puri with a Chai Tea (28p total). Off to Nimmityamputtur to plan sessions and have an after school research group with 16-18 year olds from local school. One of our group had a surprise this morning when the baby she was sitting next to started to wee down her leg and dress, The mother turned him the other way after the fact but nappies aren't common here which is kind of a good thing as would add to the pollution. However, not so good for her. Have a primary school education session tomorrow afternoon so we decided to make a prop called Mr Germ to help represent the spread of disease from person to person and how good sanitation can prevent this.

Only hotel in the village (Indian's call restaurants hotels)

Sitting on step of YRC in the sun and saw this guy in a nearby tree

Me under a tree in area surrounding Nimmiyamputtur, cotton field on right and ground nut field on left.

Mr Germ! Had an inventive evening making a shower which in the end just is a hose on the tap when we have running water but makes it so much better. In addition, made the lovely Mr Germ (with group) who is comprised of a saree underskirt (£1), black fluffy rope (20p), cotton used to tie sauce bags from dinner and some old blankets and pillows. Loving the groovy microvilli.
