Yelagiri Hills - Day 2 and home

Stayed the night in accommodation provided to us which was basic but safe and dry so all we needed. The driver also stayed the night in the living room on a mat as a sort of bodyguard so I imagine he was sick of the sight of us by the end of it. Drove us down the mountain and we met the assistant headmaster who was our guide for the whole weekend. During breakfast in same place in Vanyambadi we met our generous benefactor of the weekend as he was in Bangalore day before doing business. However, we only got to meet for 5 minutes as he was off again doing more business.

After breakfast, we spent the afternoon visiting his house in Vanyambadi where his son, daughter-in law and 2 year old grandson live with him. The most beautiful and extravagant house I have seen since I got here. There was lots of stained glass, a large puja room, balcony at front and back, full marble floors, huge shower room and several bedrooms. It was so lovely of them to invite us into their home and visit their jewellery store. We also got a tour of their 3 storey store, currently under construction which was opposite. Gold will be sold on bottom floor by the gram and silver on second floor with special area for VIP's. L.S.K. jewellers is on "gold" road where there is a large amount of jewellery stores on one street.

In the afternoon we visited the assistant headmaster's house, met all of his family, treated to a lovely Thali for lunch and then visited his sister-in-laws house as it is common for Indian families to live within walking distance of eachother. We were invited to stay for dinner too but by then it had been a long weekend. Driver took us all the way back to Alangayam and we all had an early night with no dinner as been given too much over the weekend.

Girls room, my bed is pending construction on right as people are on couch cushions.

My bed, I particularly like the arm rests where I slot my bent leg into as that's how I prefer sleeping.
